Lawyer and historian, Anokye Frimpong, has encouraged the public authority to charge GH¢10,000 for grade A schools to generate more income to improve infrastructure development in schools across the country.
As per him, the payment will keep guardians from paying cash to people "sitting behind PCs" for situation of their wards in grade A schools.
"We needn't bother with an across-board free Senior Secondary School Education. With specific schools, the public authority ought to energize expenses per term to about GH¢10,000 and this cash going to individuals in PC rooms would prefer to go to the public authority", he told Kafui Dey on the 'GTV Breakfast Show.'
He offered this expression at the rear of the insightful piece by the Fourth Estate dubbed "School Placement available to be purchased."
In the exposè, guardians were seen paying cash to certain people who professed to be working at the Ministry of Education for the position of their wards in Grade A schools.
Anokye added that the categorisation of schools in the nation doesn't forecast well for Ghana's school system in light of the fact that the guardians will constantly seek after Grade A schools for their wards.
