With the information gather through the Government PROs from their various institutions, Government can settle on informed decisions on matter arising, formulate policies and make amendments where necessary.
Talking at the 2022 3rd Government PROs Summit in Accra, on Thursday, 16th February, 2023 on the theme; "Boosting Revenue Generation Towards Economic Recovery; The Role of the Government PROs", the information Minister tasked the PR practitioner to exploit the Bonsu platform to proactively communicate government policies and programme.
The platform requires every Government PRO to produce four types of results, first are reports drawn from the various activities that happen inside their respective MDAs, the second has to do with PR alerts which are negative or fake news flowing in the media space about their MDAs, Media Engagement is also one of the expectations on the platform, expecting them to refresh government on their question and answer sessions and other comparable events and afterward there is the forthcoming events, as the name recommends, events that are yet to be held by the different MDAs.
The platform is currently being managed by the Public Relations Coordinating Division headed by Mrs. Ethel Cudjoe Amissah of the Information Service Department under the supervision of the Ministry of Information.
