The National Entrepreneurship Innovation Programme has launched the NEIP Hubs Acceleration Grant Programme under the Ghana Economic Transformation Project to help business venture and innovation hubs with $200,000.
As per the CEO of the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Programme, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, the grant programme is equipped towards supporting the improvement of the business biological system by building the limits of business centers and reinforcing their development model to guarantee economic transformation and development of new companies in the country.
The NEIP Hub Acceleration Grant Programme is to give business hubs with financial and specialized help to upgrade their service to benefit new companies in the country.
Selected hubs will get grants up to $200,000 to support their operations, upgrade their offices and equipment and run speed acceleration programmes.
Talking at the launch of the program, the CEO of the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Programme, said the hubs will be expected to support and sustain the thoughts of new companies in the country.
"We will offer help to around 50 advancement and business centers in the country, what they'll need to do is to sustain the thoughts of new companies, backing and run hatchery and gas pedal projects to guarantee that we are cultivating adventures in the networks", he said.
Chairman of the Ghana Hubs Network, Josiah Ayison, added that the help was convenient and would help quick track the improvement of new businesses in the country.
The NEIP Hubs Acceleration Grant Programme will focus on hubs operating in areas like agriculture, technology and innovation, light manufacturing and processing, waste and green businesses and technical and vocational oriented hubs.
The hubs would be chosen in light of the accommodation of a sound business plan, standardization and certification requirement.
Chosen business venture centers would be checked and assessed to get to their advancement after payment of the sum.
