The Finance Minster, Ken Ofori-Atta, is supposed to show up before Parliament on Thursday, February 16, 2023, to brief the house on the government Domestic Debt Exchange program.
This follows a mandate by the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, to the Business Committee of the House to summon the Finance Minister to give a strategy brief on the program because of the ongoing picketing at the Finance Ministry by retired person bondholders for an exclusion from the program.
Deputy Majority Leader , Alexander Afenyo-Markin, introducing the business articulation of Parliament for the resulting week, said it was fundamental for the Minister to show up before Parliament to give replies to questions raised by constituents of members from the House.

In the mean time, members from the Retired person Bondholders who are requesting an exclusion, say they would be at Parliament to observe procedures.

Since we won't merge on the day, we will go to Parliament to see what's going on there," the Convenor for the Retired person Bondholders, Dr Adu Anane Antwi, said.
