Telecom giant, Vodafone Group Plc has completed the transfer of its 70% greater share in Vodafone Ghana (Ghana Telecommunication Company Limited- GTCL), to the Telecel Group after effectively obtaining every one of the vital regulatory approval, including the agreement of the Government of Ghana, as a minority investor.
An statement disclosed that this is the latest major change for the Ghanaian telecommunications company beginning around 2008 when Vodafone Group purchased a controlling interest in GTCL and laid out Vodafone Ghana.
Telecel is an Africa-focused telecommunication company established in 1986, operating primarily in Africa and merging telecommunication with fintech, e-commerce, and tech new companies.

In the mean time, the National Communications Authority in a different statement said, despite the fact that it has given approval for Telecel's takeover of Vodafone Ghana, "The Authority will keep on guide the takeover cycle as per the current permit states of Vodafone Ghana, while ensuring that the interests of buyers are held vital. The NCA further assures the public that fair treatment will be continued in light of a legitimate concern for all gatherings".
