President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has requested for an investigation to be led into the claim made by Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng who filled in as Minister for Science and Technology in President Akufo-Addo's most first government, such that a few authorities at the president are engaged with the unlawful limited scope mining (Galamsney).
The state-owned Daily Graphic provided details regarding Monday, March 20 that the police had dispatched a letter to Prof Frimpong-Boateng to help the police in their investigation.
In making the claim, Prof Frimpong Boateng further said that a few people in government coordinated his leave following his battle against the unlawful smallscale mining exchange, just to have the option to happen with the unlawful practice.
Addressing Ghana TV, he said "There was an organized plan, even inside the party and government to get me out. How can it be that when I left now everybody is in the forest?
"I would rather not delve into subtleties now since I have a ton to say on that. Allow me to let you know that I didn't take one backhoe for anything, they know reality. Presently things are coming up, we realize the individuals who are behind it and the party members who are there, people in government including Jubilee House who are doing galamsey, etc, even at this point. So let Frimpong Boateng stay in his corner and partake in his retirement," he said when requested his response on the whereabouts of the 500 tractors that were allegedly absent.
Mr Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, since becoming President in 2017, has been endeavoring to battle galamsey.
It is reviewed that he told the Public Place of Bosses that the errand to shield the grounds and the climate from the impact of galamsey was a joint liability between the government and the customary specialists.
Mr Akufo-Addo made sense of during a gathering with the Bosses in Kumasi on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 that 80 percent of the grounds in Ghana are in the care of the bosses.

"Considering this improvement [the Chiefs] are unequivocally behind your organization to apply the suitable authorizations against people who are participated in the training unlawful mining regardless of their status."
