Former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), George Afriyie, has uncovered late Black Stars forward, Christian Atsu, was somebody who never messed with his tithing while he was alive.
Atsu was a victim of the staggering earthquake in Turkey which guaranteed many lives with the Ghana global being under rubble for 12 days before his dead body was in the long run recuperated.
Talking at the final funeral rites of the late player on Friday, March 17, Afriyie described his fondest memory of the 31-year-old while he was alive.
"There is generally one thing that I will constantly not neglect. Tony [Appiah] will let me know that 'George, Atsu and his offering, he doesn't miss them.', he told Euphoria News.
"With respect to his estimations, he doesn't miss and he will ensure that the 10% is paid per what the Christian confidence accepts. This is so exceptional."
Atsu's last game as a footballer was during Hatayspor's 1-0 win over Kasimpasa, with the Ghanaian scoring the main objective of the game with a heavenly free kick.
