Charlton Athletic shot-stopper Joseph Wollacott has been declared fit by the Black Stars medical team after the 26-year-old experienced a minor injury on Tuesday night while preparing with his Black Stars teammates.
Wollacott was included for Chris Hughton's maiden Black Stars squad having missed the team's underlying task at the 2022 World Cup because of a finger injury in November 2022.
The former Swindon Town keeper faced the dread of being uninvolved again when a portable goal line fell in him during the teams' training session ahead of their matchup with Angola in the 2023 Afcon qualifiers.
"He was quickly surveyed by the medical team and given emergency treatment. Wollacott was subsequently reevaluated in the medical room at the team lodging and presently, there are no significant medical concerns since the player is nearly torment free," said the Ghana Football Association on Wednesday morning.
The team will hold further session at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday prior to hosting the Palancas Negras on Thursday afternoon.
Both Ghana and Angola have four points each while Madagascar and Focal African Republic are likewise attached on points with a draw and a loss each after their initial two games.
