Professor of Political Science at the national's premier university, the University of Ghana, Prof Ransford Gyampo has scolded government for the automatic activity of dropping the collection of road tolls and once again introducing same.
Answering the arrangement to once again introduce road tolls, Prof Gyampo denounced government for what he said is the resoluteness displayed when there were approaches the government to reevaluate its decision to annul tolls on the roads that produced a few resources for the country, especially following the country's financial hopelessness.
He said "Presently we need to once again introduce the street tolls? Smart thought. Be that as it may, what went into the choice to drop it? Government is excessively intense a business to be left in the possession of simple political point scorers. The beliefs of the Philosopher King are to direct those ruling!"
He called the government to be responsive and pay attention to voices of dispute as he who is cutting a way could never be aware in the event that his back is warped.
The government plans to once again introduce the road tolls after it suspended its activity to carry out the electronic exchanges demand (e-levy).
