Former Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu says he will become one of the longest-serving member of Parliament when he represents re-appointment in the 2024 election.
Sure of victory, the Tamale South Member of Parliament (MP) says it would be his 6th term as a lawmaker.
Tending to party sympathisers and supporters on Sunday, March 19, when he filed his nomination, Haruna Iddrisu also vowed to convey more than 90,000 elections in favor of the following flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
"Tamale South in the last presidential and parliamentary elections made a huge commitment of 69,000 votes," he said.
"My vow this year will be [that] with your confirmation and backing, 90,000 for John Mahama or whoever wins the NDC Presidential Primaries."
He likewise demonstrated that as a quintessential liberal, he is available to any test from any member of the party for internal contest.
The primaries are set for Saturday, May 13.
Haruna Iddrisu is probably going to go unopposed in spite of the appearing distinctions among him and the ongoing chiefs of the NDC.
