Former 100m world record holder, Asafa Powell has communicated disappointment with the nation's degree of buy in sports.
The resigned Jamaican competitor, who set more sub 10s in 100m history than some other competitor, was in Ghana for under about fourteen days, yet griped threefold about the nation's absence of sports system.
"I'm extremely, disheartened, truly. Frankly, I'm exceptionally disheartened on the grounds that you folks have had amazing runners back in the days. I contended with Aziz Zakari - he was one of those competitors that at whatever point I went to the track and field competitions meets and I heard he was there, I was like, 'man! this man is coming to pressure me'.
"He was one of those extraordinary runners [and] I recollect Ghana having a few incredible competitors, so coming here and not seeing genuine expert tracks is exceptionally disheartening on the grounds that imagine a scenario in which I needed to go for an exercise while being here. So I feel that is where Ghana needs to improve," Powell made sense of.
The Jamaican was in Ghana on the greeting of his better half, Aliysha, whom Asafa says has been 'messing with me to come here for some time'.
The couple have shown they have plans to get back to the country in December and through their YouTube page, uncovered they were purchasing a loft in the country.
