President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says the Human Sexual Right and Ghanaian Family Values Bill at present before Parliament will meet the desires of all when it's passed into law.
The Bill considered by a larger number of people as an enemy of LGBTQ+ law tries to condemn homosexuality.
Addressing journalists at the Jubilee House, President Akufo-Addo said he has had a broad preparation on the Bill.
President Akufo-Addo is confident that Parliament will emerge with a capable reaction on the bill.
"The Bill is current through Parliament, the Attorney General is doing its part in regards to the constitutionality or in any case of its provisions and Parliament is managing it. Toward the finish of the cycle, I will come in, however meanwhile, Parliament is managing it. Also, I realize that the Parliament of Ghana will show us what it's finished from before. Most importantly, it's a delicate common freedoms issue, as well as the sensations of our populace and will concoct a dependable reaction to the proposition," President Akufo-Addo expressed.
The Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs is supposed to introduce its report on the counter LGBTQ+ bill this week.
This is as per Samuel Nartey George, Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram and a proponent of the bill, following a gathering with the Attorney General.
In addition to other things, the Bill proposes jailterm for individuals who take part in same-sex and people who advance such activities.
