Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed, a former Member of Parliament for Akwatia in the Eastern Region has decided to contest the party's primaries in the Ayawaso East Constituency, Accra.
He is hoping to unseat the sitting NDC MP, Naser Toure Mahama.
Baba Jamal's contention is that, despite the fact that he hails and had resided in Akwatia from where he was first chosen as a delegate to Parliament on the ticket of the NDC, he has been an occupant of Nima for such countless years and purchased his most memorable house in the area.
Baba Jamal has since conveyed signals that Naser Toure Mahama is "obscure" by the media, not vocal in Parliament and not known by his constituents.
The former MP said it is his aim to battle for what is expected Nima and the whole Ayawaso East constituency assuming offered the chance by NDC delegates and thusly wins the seat in 2024.
He will probably pull for advancement projects in Nima which is situated in the core of Accra.
"I don't think Nima is getting what it merits," he said in a radio meeting on Accra-based OK FM, observed by Graphic Online on Friday morning (Blemish 19, 2023).
Baba Jamal, who is a legitimate expert is as of now a Delegate Chief responsible for Lawful Undertakings for the NDC.
He served as MP for Akwatia from January 2013 to Jan 2017.
