The leadership of the National Democratic Congress in the Eastern Region has denied charges made by former Members of Parliament for Upper Manya Krobo that his endeavors to submit forms were fruitless.
The former legislator, Jeff Tetteh Kavianu claims that the constituency office where he should introduce his forms has been intentionally locked since Monday, with chiefs declining to answer calls.
In any case, the NDC's Regional Secretary, Baba Jamal Konneh, lets Citi News know that the party in no way wants to banish any applicant from running.
"The NDC needs power, thus we don't need what is going on where somebody will feel that we treated him unreasonably. We believe that sort of solidarity and union should wrestle power from the NPP so we are really making an honest effort. We have importuned each body electorate political race panel to treat each applicant reasonably without attempting to be one-sided."
He likewise expressed that assuming the previous legislator so wants, he might look for intercession at the public level.
"The party has a progressive system, so he can go to public leaders and converse with them. We work on the directions of public so assuming they request that we take his structures we will since we have no choice. We are here to serve everyone", he added.
