Russell Crowe has revealed he called his costume in Gladiators a "netball uniform" since it had a skirt.
The 59-year-old actor likewise conceded he was attracted to the job of Zeus in Marvel movie Thor: Love and Thunder since he got to wear a skirt in that.
Russell, addressing the Empire podcast, said: "I've had a lot of progress wearing skirts previously — Maximus had a decent one.
"I used to call it 'the netball uniform'."
He likewise revealed he shot his scenes in the most recent Thor film two times.
He shot them in an English accent, and again in a Greek accent which highlights in the finished cut.
He explained: "Initially he [director Taika Waititi] believed me should do the person in an English accent and I sort of stood up against that on the grounds that for Greeks all over the world I felt that was unreasonable.
"I was very much like 'let me have a go at this', so they did.
"However, that implied my shooting days were very troublesome on the grounds that each and every scene we shot two times.
"We shot once with me doing a Greek accent and once with me doing an English accent.
"Furthermore, the produces at the time said do it along these lines and afterward we're gong to screen both, and we will go with the characterisation which gets the most response.
"In this way, consistent with their promise, when they screened it Zeus as a Greek man won by a mile so they went with the Greek pronunciation. It was loads of tomfoolery."
Russell won an Oscar for 2000 hit Gladiator, getting the best actor gong.
