Incredible Nollywood soundtrack star and singer, Stanley Okorie has reveal that he was paid with a jug of Sprite for the first film soundtrack he recorded.
He unveiled this while including as a visitor on the most recent episode of the Osikoya Talks varying media webcast facilitated by Wonu Osikoya.
The veteran said when he came into the film business, Nollywood was underfunded.
Okorie said, "The very first soundtrack I did, think about what I was paid? I was paid a container of Soul. What's more, it was three melodies. What's more, I didn't drink the Soul alone, I drank it with one person called JT Tom West. In this way, it was still half installment even with the jug of Sprite.
"The person [filmmaker] said he was in any event, helping me out. I recently did. As a matter of fact, one of the times I saw him, he let me know that they didn't utilize the music once more. A month later, I watched the film and it was the music.
"In this way, I went to meet him with JT Tom West who is late now, and he said OK, he will associate us with someone who will give me a task. Furthermore, the absolute first work I got installment for was a film called 'Split the difference', and from that, different movies followed.
"The following film I got enormous compensation for was a film called 'Malicious Virtuoso'. That was my assertion of 'I wear come'. There wasn't cash until a lot some other time when I began charging [filmmakers]."
