Veteran Ghanaian Actor Kofi Adjorlolo has honored the glowing tribute to celebrated late Ghanaian author, Prof. Ama Ato Aidoo.
Brought into the world as Christina Ama Aidoo on March 23, 1942, Ama Ata Aidoo passed on at 83 years old on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, after a short sickness.
All through her renowned lifetime, Prof. Aidoo reliably supported the reason for Africa and its kin. She committed her scholarly work and activism to revealing insight into the treacheries looked by Africans, both on the landmass and in the diaspora.
Her penetrating compositions mirrored a profound comprehension of the verifiable setting and foundational factors that propagate racial imbalance and double-dealing.
Since the insight about her demise was reported through a family proclamation, numerous noticeable people have paid different recognitions for her.
Be that as it may, in a proclamation sent solely to GhanaWeekend.com, Kofi Adjorlolo said in his recognition:
"Goodness I am so exceptionally distressed. Another extraordinary African scholarly has fallen. Her books incorporate that of other extraordinary African educated people. Prof Ama Aidoo and other extraordinary African personalities adjusted a few of us, particularly 'ME' to acknowledge what African legacy implies, where we are from, what our identity is and what the viewpoint will be coming soon for us as Africans."
Kofi Adjorlolo, who has featured in more than 100 Ghanaian and Nigerian motion pictures, added, "Marcus Garvey, Kwame Nkrumah. Gaddafi, Sekou Toure, Chinua Achebe, Mandela, Samora Machel Kenneth Kaunda, Jomo Kenyata, Nasser, Kofi Awonoor, and a large group of others. May their entire being including the spirit of Prof Ama Aidoo rest in wonderful harmony. Much obliged".
