Davido, a superstar in Nigeria, has once more generously contributed funds to the underprivileged through his "David Adeleke Foundation" (DAF).
In a statement released on Thursday, July 20, the Afrobeats icon said that his organization has given a staggering N237,000,000.00 to orphans across Nigeria.
"I am pleased to announce that The David Adeleke Foundation (DAF) has given orphans across Nigeria the sum of N237.000.000.00 (Two Hundred and Thirty-Seven Million Naira). The foundation successfully distributed funds to 424 (four hundred and twenty-four) orphanages, benefiting a total of 13,818 (thirteen thousand, eight hundred and eighteen) children, under the direction of Mrs. Titi Adebayo, chair of the DAF Disbursement Committee, according to the statement.
Davido claims that he "established the DAF in 2022 with a strong desire and passion to consistently aid others and create a suitable structure for continued philanthropic operations to benefit the good people of Nigeria. Through this foundation, we have raised millions of Naira and provided hundreds of orphanages with desperately needed funding, greatly enhancing the lives of countless children.
The "Unavailable" hitmaker has already given generously to the underprivileged.
A prank he made on Instagram in 2022 for his birthday turned into millions of dollars in donations from friends, followers, and coworkers, all of which he gave to charity, giving birth to his "We Rise by Lifting Others" campaign.
