Michael Collins Ajereh, better known by his stage name Don Jazzy, is a well-known Nigerian music producer and businessman who has long been recognized for his dedication to supporting up-and-coming singers in the music industry.
He has had an outstanding career spanning decades and has dedicated himself to giving young musicians a platform to succeed in addition to enjoying great success as an artist himself.
The Mavin CEO revealed in a podcast conversation with Fisayo Fosudo that he is destined to support upcoming artists.
My priorities have evolved throughout the years, Don said. I basically began as a musician, but as time went on, I began doing other things. Finding, fostering, and guiding young artists to become world-renowned artists, etc. But if I did, I wouldn't want to limit it to that right now. I feel like I'm just creating the Nigerian music ecosystem in general right now. use the enormous brand I had established to just have an influence on people's lives.
"I feel like it's my calling to help people grow," the producer concluded. I'm adamant that I know how to interact with people. We were first a little off balance for a bit before finding our footing. So, I think to myself today when I see young artists, "If this person doesn't have like guidance before they get to a certain level, they might just be lost as well." If we could move the process along faster, that would be wonderful. If someone who has traveled this path before could... You can simply say, "I haven't driven on this road before," to someone if you know where the potholes are. Take this route instead of this one.
