After suffering "to hell and back" due to a medical emergency that required hospitalization, Jamie Foxx says he is thankful to still be alive.
After experiencing an unexpected medical setback in April, the actor released his first video greeting to his followers on Instagram on Friday.
As he expressed gratitude to his family and fans for their support, Foxx added, "I cannot even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back." I underwent a situation that I had sworn I would never experience.
Foxx largely avoided the limelight. He has recently been seen in Chicago, where he received medical care at a center that specialized in rehabilitation therapy for individuals with physical impairments, brain traumas, or spinal cord injuries.
"I just didn't want you to see me like that," Foxx added. "I didn't want you to see me with tubes coming out of me, wondering if I was going to make it through," the patient said.
Even rumors that swept social media were dispelled by him, who claimed to be blind and disabled.
Your eyes are functioning normally, as you can see. No, I'm not disabled, he declared.
The actor uploaded a photo of himself on top of a gold race car on Thursday at a Las Vegas hotel. "BETMGM," an online sports betting business, is written on the automobile.
Thanks to my @betmgm family for a wonderful couple nights in Vegas, Foxx captioned the photo. Coming up soon are BIG stuff.
Erik Umphery, a photographer, left a comment on the article saying, "As always, it was a great experience working with you the last 2 days."
In May, the actor's daughter Corinne Foxx said on Instagram that her father was making progress toward rehabilitation.
"My dad has been recovering since he left the hospital some weeks ago. He really played pickleball yesterday! Thank you for your prayers and support, she said.
