I'm back to give you guys an update on recent news! One of the headliners at the recently concluded 2023 Afro Fest in Bali was popular and renowned Ghanaian DJ AD DJ.
Yes, Bali, you did read the words correctly. First Ghanaian DJ to organize an international Afro-Festival in Bali is AD DJ. Given that AD DJ is one of the trendiest and coolest DJs to grace the turntables in Ghana, that is unquestionably significant news.
DJ Spinall from Nigeria, DJ Michel from South Africa, our very own AD DJ from Ghana, DJ Kay, and DJ Azzam performed at the Afro Fest event in Bali on July 29, 2023, which was hosted by MCs Camel and Versace.
Afro Fest, Bali's premier exclusive Afro-beats event, aims to create a bridge between Africa and Asia through expertly produced music and cross-cultural interaction between musicians and their followers.
African and amapiano music were ecstatically celebrated and promoted at Afro Fest. There were many young DJs there who were quite brilliant and captivating, including our very own AD DJ, who had the crowd moving and dancing to a fusion of African rhythms and beats.
Given that this was Bali's first Afro-beats event, AD DJ made sure, as usual, that he did not let everyone down. As soon as he seized the turntable, the crowd started dancing and jamming to numerous hits from the African continent.
The fact that Ghanaian musicians were participating for the first time in Bali's Afro-beats scene is unquestionably noteworthy.
Even though you didn't attend Afro Fest, you shouldn't miss this weekend's YKTFV anniversary. This Saturday at 6 o'clock, nice music, good vibes, and good company in the Barndoor Beergarden across from the Alley Bar. Wish I could see you there.
