Following Tory Lanez's 10-year prison sentence for shooting the "Savage" rapper, Megan Thee Stallion has spoken out against "haters."
Meg addressed the crowd on Sunday (Aug. 13) during her performance at Outside Lands Festival. She lambasted people who didn't trust her and accused her of lying, noting that her supporters always remained strong. She uttered, "I just wanna say, f— all my haters." Nothing you said or did broke me, you know. The Hotties weren't broken by whatever you were saying or doing to them. And I demand that all of the Hotties now raise their middle fingers.
After being found guilty in December on three felony counts related to the event, in which Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) shot at the feet of Megan (real name Megan Pete) during an altercation following a pool party in the Hollywood Hills in 2020, Lanez was given a 10-year jail sentence.
After the verdict, Lanez defended his innocence to his "Umbrellas" supporter group. He wrote, "I have never allowed a difficult situation scare me. "I will never, ever let a sentence to prison destroy me. Whatever spin they try to put on my words, I have always maintained and always will that I am innocent.
While at his sentencing hearing, he claimed responsibility for "verbal and intimate moments that I shared with the parties involved," he did not accept responsibility for the shooting, he wrote. "I was not, under any circumstances, offering an apology for the charges I am being unfairly convicted of. I continue to hold the position that I will not apologize for anything I did not do.
