Eldah Naa Abiana Dickson, best known by her stage name Abiana, a Ghanaian Soul-life singer and songwriter, has counseled up-and-coming artists to collaborate more with established artists.
"I think the problem is that there is nothing pulling the young and old artists together, but it's for us (young artists) to also make the effort," Abiana said in an exclusive interview with Keely-Jade Brewer on Asaase Radio's Between Hours.
The 'Far Away' singer added, "Personally, I speak to Amandzeba a lot, and I even want to be on his track and I told him. For instance, Kelvyn Boy and Gyedu Blay Ambolley collaborated on an incredible song, demonstrating the need for us to approach these superstars.
The lyricist claimed that because they could be busy, experienced artists are unable to approach the younger ones. He added that in order to ensure a seamless transition, young and aspiring singers should associate more with the veterans.
"Kwabena Kwabena told me we should go to the studio after we chatted. Therefore, I would never have had the chance to work with him if I hadn't talked to him, Abiana said.
