Due to their prior experience in the sector, KOD expressed his confidence in the President and the minister to be able to improve the creative sector. But regrettably, neither has performed up to expectations. He added that he anticipated more from the minister to support the expansion of the creative sector and suggested that Okraku-Mantey seems to have forgotten his roots.
"I had very high hopes for what Nana was going to do for the creative space because right from the 70s, Nana Akufo-Addo has been connected to the music industry in various ways," the media personality admitted during a candid interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM. When he was in school, he used to plan events in the UK. He was close friends with Fela Anikulapo Kuti, among others. Over the years, he's formed some very fantastic relationships with musicians. Take a look at his teammates.A lot of them come from artistic backgrounds. Since this is our chance to shine, you'd anticipate that, but it didn't.
He continued, "Perhaps there wasn't a definite plan for what to do with the creative area. Many people said, "Oh, this is one of us," when our brother Mark Okraku-Mantey was appointed, but I haven't seen much of him as a person up until now. Rather than dealing with him as one of us who has been elevated, you have to deal with him like any other person because you can't even access him and you want him to do something for you. He no longer remembers his promotion. We believed that someone like him would serve as our spokesperson. However, I am unhappy with the actions taken by the government. They could have taken better care of us.
