At the 16th Headies Awards, singer-songwriter and YBNL sensation Asake got the Next Rated Award.
A promising performer with an EP or album during the reviewed year is given the Next Rated award. Young Jonn, Seyi Vibez, Victony, and Spyro were edged out for the prize by Asake.
Since making a comeback, the singer has been consistently releasing popular songs, and he now has two excellent albums, "Mr. Money With The Vibe" and the just-released "Work Of Art," to show for his efforts. The "Album of the Year" prize was also presented to him.
