The Teacher is a brand-new EP from music maestro E.L.
The rapper from Ghana's dedication to being more involved in the scene is demonstrated through the project. E.L. also draws inspiration from his heritage with seven tunes that are Azonto-inspired.
E.L. builds anticipation for the rest of the album by describing his music-making process in the opening track, Intro: The Teacher. The joyful anthem "Soba," a cross-genre song that skillfully fuses Azonto and hip-hop, is then introduced by E.L.
The third song, "Who Say," was composed by the artist and combines Amapiano with the well-known Azonto style. E.L wrote "Who Say" after having a remarkable experience amidst the stunning scenery of the Aburi Mountains.
E.L was inspired to write "Eshocki" by mimosas by the pool on a steamy Virginia afternoon. The words convey a humorous story while the music features hard-hitting African percussion mixed with Azonto guitar hop and an upbeat foundation. In order to keep the Azonto energy going, E.L. links up with Dope Nation, a past working partner, for the song "Korle Bu." E.L gave a behind-the-scenes look, saying, "I recorded Korle Bu remotely because I wasn't in the country. The boys received the verse I sent them, and they made history.
E.L departs from the Azonto rampage with the tune "Chop Life," which he released earlier this year. Chop Life," a party hip-hop song that serves as the album's introduction, combines elements of alternative hip-hop, UK grime, and pop rap.
The Teacher finishes with "Yalé," a song that expertly fuses the "Jama" street vibe with the rhythmic bounce of Azonto. "Yalé" perfectly encapsulates E.L.'s time in Presec High School, where the "Jama" sound influenced his musical development.
The Teacher serves out tasty music while showcasing E.L's commitment to continuous improvement. It shows the rapper's flexibility as an artist as he fuses Azonto with other genres.
