Erastus Asare Donkor, a broadcast journalist with Kumasi's Luv FM, won the PAV Ansah Communicator Award at the 2023 EMY Africa Awards.
The journalist has been awarded at the event on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), for his insightful investigative report, "Destruction for Gold," as well as for many other works that have been praised for being insightful in exposing the environmental damage caused by the country's ongoing illegal mining activities.
Erastus, who was overjoyed to receive the honor, thanked everyone and especially his fellow reporters who put their lives in danger to awaken the public conscience.
The PAV Ansah Communicator Award, which bears Paul Archibald Vianney Ansah's name, accolades a communication specialist who has the most influence and is a most influential opinion leader.
