Age comes with wisdom, and Ghanaian actress and TV personality Nana Ama McBrown is regretting some of her earlier decisions as she gets older.
The actress offered some advise to her admirers in a recent video posted by blogger Bobby Kyei, explaining the importance of making decisions in life that won't have an impact on them later in life, when they find themselves in the spotlight.
Nana Ama McBrown asserts that she would not have found herself dating or befriending particular people if she had knew she would one day become a famous person.
"On the way here, I was contemplating something. I asked myself, 'What do we want in life as people?'" she said.
"When we were young, we made some decisions because of difficulties; we formed some friendships that had an impact on our lives," she concluded. I wouldn't have carried out such actions if I had known that God would raise me to this position. I wouldn't have done a lot of things, even dated or become friends with specific people.
The honoree actress further counseled the young person to conduct research before to making some decisions in life.
"What I'll say to folks is that poverty when we were young forced us to do certain things or make certain decisions. Pay attention to the person who offers you the best advise if you can. If you don't, keep in mind the clan you come from and act accordingly. Because you can't predict the future, exercise caution in the here and now. Don't allow circumstances pressure you into taking particular actions. Every one of us has erred in life. Be careful because what you do today could impact your future, she said.
