Tems discusses his spiritual experience while working on the new song "ME & U" with Apple Music...
That's why it's funny since I actually developed this in 2021. When I heard it, right around the time I was filming the Essence music video, I basically fell into a trance and started talking to God about... It was really just about the conversation about commitment and faith. I'm not sure what it was because I was simply in a trance and forgot what I had done until I filmed it. I believe that because you are producing something out of nothing anytime you create anything at all, you are engaging in spiritual activity. I believe that music is highly spiritual, regardless of how it sounds and regardless of where it comes from or whether it is acknowledged. Music, in my opinion, always has energy, and I simply try to be as sincere as I can in my compositions.
Tems Discusses How She Retains Balance And Remains True To Herself In The Face Of Success With Apple Music...
I believe that this entire process has taught me a great deal about finding balance in your life and learning to be brave enough to be who you are without being afraid. Your art is affected since you are no longer alone and have people around you while you were previously alone. People could therefore affect you in a variety of ways. And I believe that the key is to take as much time as you can to collect yourself so that you can keep in touch with who you are and the reason you came here in the first place. That, in my opinion, is very crucial. I regularly pray and consume the truth, but I believe that You stay grounded through learning and understanding new things. Because if you permit yourself to become engrossed with the source when things are happening, then... Therefore, I constantly feed myself the truth.
Tems Discusses Her Song "Lift Me Up" With Rihanna And Her Experience Working On The Wakanda Forever Soundtrack With Apple Music.
Undoubtedly, it was a novel experience. I believe that just one song, which we recorded in Lagos, can be so... I dunno, it's just like you suddenly start getting all these acknowledgements, and it's really humbling because you have to look at yourself, look around, and wonder, "What's going on?" Man, go find yourself. But that was absolutely fantastic. Everyone is extremely wonderful.
On Apple Music, Tems Announces A New Album...
I can't divulge too much, I guess. Sometimes when you create plans, things don't always go as planned, forcing you to make new plans. So, yes, events of that nature have been occurring, but they are really exciting.
I'm going to say that it will happen after this, after this moment. There is no longer a break. I'm not on vacation, and I'm not... Don't worry about that just yet; I've taken the time I needed and, yes, this thing is coming.
