Ruth Eno Adjoa Amankwah, a.k.a. Eno Barony, is a Ghanaian rap sensation who has declared herself to be among the finest rappers on the continent.
The rapper from "Heavy Load" asserts that her skill as a rapper transcends gender lines and considers herself to be among the greatest to have come out of this region.
In an interview with Abraham Alokore for Asaase Radio's Between Hours, Eno Barony made this claim.
"I don't even think of myself in terms of gender," she remarked, "but I think I'm one of the best rappers to come out of Africa."
Talking about her newest 2023 hit song, "Low Key," the well-known rapper revealed details about a few of the verses and said that the song's message is to alert people—especially women—to health risks, particularly those associated with sexual activity, since a lot of people are traveling to the nation before the holidays.
I'm attempting to convey a point. My goal is to raise awareness with the slogan "Low Key." First of all, people are more afraid of getting pregnant than they are of STDs, despite the fact that HIV is real and widespread.
Eno largely advocated for significant backing for Ghanaian female musicians, stressing that they must put in more effort if they hope to succeed in the entertainment sector.
If you are a woman among guys, you have to put forth a thousand times more effort to be seen. People don't believe you have talent because you're a woman, so you have to work hard, but some people give up along the road. It's become a common refrain that female musicians in Ghana endure difficulties, but let's shift the perspective and show our support for them," she continued.
