The case filed by Cassie against Diddy, in which she claimed he had sexually assaulted her and was involved in human trafficking, has been dropped.
Legal documents that TMZ was able to get indicate that the lawsuit was officially closed in New York on Monday. In accordance with a settlement reached by the parties, the plaintiff "hereby dismisses this action, with prejudice and without costs or fees to either party," according to the document.
As was previously said, Cassie and Diddy both declared that the lawsuit was settled. "I have chosen to settle this dispute amicably on terms over which I have some degree of control," Cassie said. I express my gratitude to my family, fans, and attorneys for their steadfast support.
"We have decided to resolve this matter amicably," Diddy said in his statement. My best wishes are with Cassie and her family. Love.
When you consider that Cassie had only filed her complaint on Thursday, the settlement happened very quickly.Just to be clear, a choice to settle a lawsuit—especially in 2023—is in no way an admission of wrongdoing, according to Diddy's lawyer, Ben Brafman. In no way does Mr. Combs' choice to resolve the litigation contradict his categorically asserted denial of the allegations. He's glad they were able to come to an amicable agreement and hopes the best for Ms. Ventura.
