According to their attorneys, Squid Game: The Challenge contestants on Netflix are requesting payment for any injuries they purportedly sustained while filming the show.
Two athletes who, according to Express Solicitors, "suffered injuries such as hypothermia and nerve damage" are being represented.
Players on the spin-off show, which was based on the popular South Korean drama Squid Game, fought for a $4.56 million (£3.63 million) prize.
In a statement, a show representative said, "We take the welfare of our contestants extremely seriously."
We have reached out to Studio Lambert, the business that co-produced the Netflix series, for a response.
Express Solicitors stated that "they had to stay motionless for hours in cold temperatures while filming" is how the candidates sustained their injuries.
"Contestants thought they were taking part in something fun, and those injured did not expect to suffer as much as they did," stated Daniel Slade, CEO of the UK company.
"After being forced to spend time in uncomfortable stress positions in the freezing weather, they have now been left with injuries.
"We are dealing with a complaint of hypothermia. One person experienced purple hands due to the cold."
Letters of claim detailing their clients' alleged injuries that the legal company claims were "a result of poor health and safety standards on set" were sent to Studio Lambert, according to the firm.
A letter of claim serves as a preemptive measure, informing an individual or group that legal action may be taken against them.
In the game Green Light, Red Light, participants must sprint to a line as a 13.7-foot (4.2-meter) doll faces the wall and sings. However, as the doll turns its neck to face the players, they have to remain motionless.
Using an automatic video system with multiple adjudicators identifying players who moved, those found moving were eliminated.
According to an earlier statement made by Studio Lambert CEO Stephen Lambert, players that crossed the line swiftly finished the game in two hours, while slower players needed four or five.
"Everyone had been told it was going to be hard," he stated in the program's press releases.
It took contestant Lorenzo Nobilio seven hours to complete the game, he revealed to BBC News last week.
According to an article in the Hollywood trade journal Variety, other competitors expressed dissatisfaction over the frigid weather.
"No lawsuit has been filed by any Squid Game contestants," a spokesman for Squid Game: The Challenge stated. We are quite concerned about the candidates' well-being."
The game was filmed in January at Bedford's Cardington Studios.
Mr. Lambert stated to BBC News last week that player welfare was taken "terribly seriously".
"Everyone was warm when it was going to be cold; we took all the necessary precautions to get them ready for that," he stated.
Indeed, a few unnamed individuals expressed dissatisfaction at their elimination and the frigid, drawn-out ordeal.
"But it was no worse than many unscripted shows... when you're giving away a huge prize it is always going to be to clear to us it was going to be a tough show to take part in."
