Nana Osei, popularly known as Nacee, is a contemporary Ghanaian gospel singer and songwriter. He recently talked about the conditions that must be met for Ghanaian artists to receive international recognition.
The "Aseda" hitmaker claims that having the proper international contacts and significant financial backing are just as important to succeed in the music industry as having musical talent.
In an exclusive interview with Giovanni Caleb on TV3's Showbiz 360, the singer—who is also a music producer—emphasized the necessity of significant financial backing in order to successfully market and distribute Ghanaian music on a global level.
He went on to say that Ghanaian musicians have amazing potential and simply need to build more relationships with important people in the global music industry. He emphasized that effective networking may lead to partnerships, collaborations, and exposure to new markets.
To market our tunes, we require significant financial backing as well as the appropriate contacts across international borders. "We have very beautiful talents here in Ghana, but we will finish the song and it will just circulate here in Ghana if we don't have enough financial support, good record labels to hold us down, and international plugs," the musician stated.
The well-known singer went on to thank Ghanaians for being a great source of support for many artists and to encourage them to keep giving these artists their all.
