The Searching For Paradise studio sessions during this year's Africa Rising Music Conference served as the inspiration for their most recent album, "Work." More than thirty musicians came together for 16 dynamic sessions over the course of two demanding days at the Hallmark House Hotel studios in Johannesburg, South Africa. The outcome was a genuinely collaborative and life-changing musical event.
"Work" is a powerful song about a strong work ethic, persistent focus, and unrelenting ambition. It highlights how crucial it is to maintain concentration and stay away from distractions when pursuing achievement. Naimah and Sandrahhh's collaboration combines distinct musical genres, incorporating dancehall, pop, and hip-hop components with likable melodies and relevant lyrics.
"My verse delves into my own journey towards achieving my goals and my commitment to my craft," says Naimah, offering her take on the song. It demonstrates my tenacity and resolve. Lyrics like "They tried to bury me, they didn't know I'm a seed" capture my indomitable spirit and emphasize the need of prioritizing family before career.
The song is a reflection of my development as a musician. It represents a new and improved version of myself—one that has triumphed over adversity and become stronger than before," continues Naimah.
"Work" is a collaborative effort between Naimah and me, and it was really our first song recorded together during the Africa Rising Music Conference that was held in Hallmark House earlier this year and was hosted by Paradise," Sandrahh remarks of the partnership. We had a great time working on it, which was produced by Lee Global and featured other amazing South African musicians including Shooterkhumz and Mike from Paradise Music. Because of Naimah's influence, I look forward to experimenting more with this sound, which was my first try at a more Afro-infused type sound.
The contagious enthusiasm of "Work" inspires listeners to embrace their own goals and serves as incentive. This inspirational song is proof of the unwavering determination of musicians like Naimah and Sandrahhh, who are committed to leaving a lasting impression on the music industry.
