The 2023 SSI Awards, with the theme "Sustainability and the Economy: Creating a Sustainable Future," honored people and groups that had a significant impact on social investment and sustainable development in Ghana.
The Chairman of the Award Board, Professor Douglas Boateng, emphasized the need of recognizing efforts that improve communities in a real and long-lasting way. He underlined that the awards ceremony serves as a potent stage for showcasing creative initiatives that significantly improve the communities in which businesses operate.
As a catalyst for revolutionary change, the SSI Awards 2023 encourage people, institutions, and decision-makers to give sustainability and social investment top priority. In order to inspire others to make meaningful contributions, regardless of size, Professor Boateng emphasized the critical role that acknowledging and celebrating those who make significant contributions to these areas plays in laying the groundwork for future generations' betterment of society.
UBA's two wins at the SSI Awards highlight the bank's dedication to having a good influence locally and globally, as well as its ability to set the bar high for sustainability and social investment.
