Nigerian music star, Stanley Omah Didia, commonly realized by the stage name Omah Lay, has answered fans labeling his style of music as "Afro-misery."
Talking in a new meeting with The Beat FM in London, the famous vocalist cum lyricist spread the word about that he couldn't care less about anything label his music is given for however long fans are getting a charge out of it.
The 'Soso' hitmaker further added that he could never contend with the assessments of fans.
"I simply make my music how I need to make my music. I attempt however much as could be expected to avoid titles and all that the world is attempting to put on you. Since as my person would constantly say, 'When the smokes clear, then you see plainly.
"So when you relate to those things [titles and tags] it just… I simply make my music, it doesn't matter at all to me what anyone needs to label it to appreciate it as long as you partake in the music. Assuming you feel like it's Afro-discouragement, I'm good with that as long as you partake in the music. An others would move to it," he said.
Omah lay undeniably declared that, "It's specialty. That is the thing I make and I simply pass on the world to appreciate how they need to appreciate it. The fans have their own viewpoints, I could never contend with that. Assuming that is the manner by which they appreciate it, that is the way they appreciate it."
