This dedication was highlighted at the 6th National Women's Summit & Expo, which was hosted at the Accra International Conference Centre on March 8, 2024, International Women's Day, and for which Geisha Soap is the headline sponsor for the second year in a row.
The topic of the event, which was planned by Charterhouse and Joy FM, was "Inspiring Inclusion." It brought together women from all walks of life including some of Ghana's most notable female leaders, businesswomen, and creative industry figures. The students that attended from particular girls' senior high schools had the chance to learn, network, and receive mentoring.Ms. Nana Yaa Owusu-Ansah, Marketing Director for Beauty, Wellbeing, and Personal Care at Unilever Ghana and Francophone Africa, spoke at the event and shared her enthusiasm that Geisha is keeping on its collaboration with the National Women's Summit & Expo. She declared: "Our meaningful brand, Geisha, is a monument to the strength and resiliency of inclusion and is firmly anchored in these ideals. Women's empowerment to realize their potential and make contributions to the development of their communities is the main goal of Geisha. Because inclusivity is a core value that fosters societal prosperity, she felt that the theme was appropriate.
Mrs. Owusu-Ansah, the founder of Unilever's Super Moms Club and a member of the board of directors for Unilever Ghana PLC, said that Geisha's partnership was advantageous because it allowed the company to "shine the spotlight on the remarkable feat of women and to celebrate the strength, resilience, and determination of women."
The reason Geisha Soap is collaborating on this yearly event once more was elaborated by Mr. Frederick Asare, Category Marketing Manager for Skin Cleansing: "This is one of the occasions that, as a brand, we seek to demonstrate our brand purpose." We think Geisha is in a good position to help moms teach resilience and strength to their kids. We'll make advantage of our position to inspire young women to join the conversation and make their voices known.Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, the first female vice-chancellor of the University of Ghana, was the keynote speaker at the 6th National Women's Summit & Expo. She urged women to strive for leadership roles in Ghanaian businesses and on the national platform. Additionally, she supported the Affirmative Action Bill that is currently being debated in Parliament.
Geisha recognized and honored important female distributors. These women are: Mercy Adochim (Awen Yami Enterprise), Adelaide Ahwereng (Fio Enterprise), Felicia Logo (Marksussie Enterprise), Pappita Dayal Lalwani (Lucky Bazaar Ltd.), Nana Ama Agyapong (Y&K investments Ltd.), and Najat Mukhtat (NJ Ventures).
