The rapper, who was born in Philadelphia, claims that the oppressive growth of Black people in America is the reason he moved to Ghana.
"I want to become a citizen of Ghana! On March 4, 2024, he tweeted, "America made to tear black men down if you don't follow orders!" in an X post.
The rapper played at Ghana's Afro Nation music festival in December 2022.
The pinnacle of his trip to Ghana was an encounter and meeting with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House.
Meek Mill has not held back from expressing his love for Ghana, even though he provoked public controversy by recording parts of a music video at the seat of government. He has now apologized to Ghanaians for his conduct.
Over time, he has expressed his desire to go back to Ghana and work with other Ghanaian musicians.
Following claims that he was named in a lawsuit brought by a former employee of rapper and producer Sean Diddy Combs, Meek Mill has recently gone on a social media tirade.
Multiple reports state that Meek Mill was included on a list of redacted names associated with gay sex adventures with Diddy in the lawsuit filed by Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones.
