Her tour of the UK and Europe, which stopped in places like Berlin, Oslo, Stockholm, and London, has been delayed. The singer has canceled her North American tour, which featured a performance at Coachella for the first time.
She shared information about her injury in a statement she posted on her Instagram account, addressed to her admirers, Tygers.
"As you are all aware, this moment—which you have all contributed to making a reality for me—has been a lifelong goal. The Water hitmaker tweeted, "I am so grateful and humbled by this past year and the way it's changed my life."
I will always be eternally grateful to you all for your wonderful support, happiness, laughing, and victories.
"I've been quietly dealing with an injury that has sadly become worse for the past year. I've seen doctors and specialists who had great expectations, but the severity of the condition and the agony have only increased," the woman remarked.
Although she felt compelled to inform her followers, she preferred to handle the damage in private. She continued, saying:
I hate to break your heart, but I will not be able to continue with the tour at this time.
"It's becoming more and more obvious that going on any festival or tour dates would put my long-term health and safety in danger, after speaking with medical experts," she continued.
She expressed her anger that her plans would be derailed by the accident at such a crucial juncture in her career.
"My team and I are putting in a lot of effort to put on an amazing show for you as soon as I heal and am prepared to go back on stage this summer," she informed supporters.
