The Perfect Picture actress related a personal experience of a friend who refused to settle down with a woman because she had a child on her most recent podcast, Keeping it Real with Joselyn Dumas.
Dumas claims that Anthony, one of her friends, adamantly declared that dating a "born one" or "born two" was not his thing.
"I thought to myself, 'This is why a lot of single mothers are single with their children,'" he added. "Bi, B2, I'm not in."
"Now he was asking himself, 'Why am I going to raise someone else's child?'" That is not my ancestry. My DNA is not present in him. Why am I going to contribute to someone's lineage now? How about mine, she questioned.
Joselyn, a single mother herself, stated that his friend's attitude is representative of the attitudes held by the majority of individuals who are unable to form deep connections with single mothers.
She also criticized the double standard that society has when it comes to parenting children who are not biological, contending that this should not be distinguished from adoption.

"These men don't even care why you have a child; they won't even ask you if you have one," the woman said. When you were married, you experienced seven miscarriages. Are you planning to abort the kid since you aren't married? You met a guy, you were dating, and you became pregnant.
