Ambassador Trabelsi is a prominent and highly successful diplomat with over 30 years of expertise that she brings to the position.
In her capacity as the Bank's Special Envoy for the Middle East and the Gulf, Ambassador Trabelsi will work to promote diplomatic and strategic ties within the region while highlighting the Bank's strategic priorities, fortifying alliances, and assembling large-scale resources from the public and private sectors to carry out game-changing projects in Africa.
Ambassador Trabelsi is a citizen of Tunisia, and she has played important positions and made major contributions to diplomacy. In addition to being Tunisia's ambassador to Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Ghana, Benin, and the Economic Community of West Africa (Ecowas), he held the position of Minister Plenipotentiary for African Affairs. In addition, he held positions as Head of the National Commission for Tunisia's candidacy for the African Development Bank Presidency, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Dean of the Council of Arab Ambassadors.

Ambassador Trabelsi completed his undergraduate studies in political science and international relations at Belgium's Université Libre de Bruxelles, where he graduated with the highest honors, and from which he now possesses an Advanced Master's degree in maritime and aviation law. He graduated from the University of Tunis with a master's degree in political science as well. He speaks Arabic, French, and English fluently and is multilingual.
