First outdoor performance by Safo Newman during the Twin Cities International Photo Art Exhibition, which brought a number of well-known figures.
The up-and-coming performer played his hit song "Akokoa" with a saxophonist in tow.
But the show has spurred debate about Safo's stage presence and whether or not music is his true calling.
Observers observed that Safo appeared to have difficulty efficiently interacting with the crowd. They made note of the fact that he seemed to scurry through his songs rather than pausing to engage the listener.
Some fans expressed confidence that he will get better with time, attributing this to his relatively recent entry into the music business.
Additionally, some have suggested that he stick to writing music because he is a poor performer.
