Looking back on her time in the US, she claimed that her classmates who were African-American made fun of her just because she was African.
Efia Odo revealed that her peers had called her derogatory names, including "African booty scratcher."
She was forced to pretend to be someone else in order to fit in while she battled to deal with the mockery.
She said in a tweet that she had made up her Jamaican heritage in order to stop being shunned further.
