Our Happiness Was Short-Lived: Actors Guild Nigeria President Verifies Junior Pope's Demise.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria President Emeka Rollas Ejezie has verified the actor Obumneme Odonwodo, well known as Junior Pope, has passed away. The President said in an Instagram post that their happiness was short-lived because, despite two renowned hospitals' best efforts to restore the actor (Junior Pope), he was unable to survive.

The Nollywood community was shocked to learn of the actor Junior Pope's passing earlier. The AGN, however, refuted the rumors that the actor was still alive. The actor and three coworkers reportedly fell into the Anam River in Anambra State while they were returning by boat from a filming location. The actor posted a video of himself in a boat on Monday, April 9, 2023, with urgent prayers for safety, just hours before the catastrophe. The actor leaves behind his spouse and three kids.
