During an exclusive interview on Joy Prime's Prime MorningShow, the hitmaker of "Lapaz Toyota" expressed his long-standing desire to attend the university and make a positive impact on it. He underlined the need of keeping up a strong GPA, having worked hard to obtain the 3.88 CGPA required for SRC candidacy.
"I was maintaining my low to raise my GPA. Because you have to be aware of what is going on on campus, especially with regard to your GPA, before you can compete.
I currently have a CGPA of 3.88, in essence. I can still contest, all right, with that. That's what I'm doing, then," he said.
The popular rapper demonstrated his strong connection to the SRC by working with them on several projects and even sponsoring hall weeks. Even in the face of obstacles, such when scheduled activities are canceled, he doesn't waver in his resolve to help the campus community.

Guru gave thanks for the chance to attend his ideal university and reaffirmed his commitment to making significant contributions while he was there, looking back on his journey thus far. He gave examples of his work, including planning events during hall week and arranging appearances by performers like Mr. Drew. Despite obstacles, Guru is confident that, as he pursues his education, he will be able to have a beneficial influence on the university.
"I've always wanted to attend the University of Ghana, and it feels like a dream come true to be here. And I was prepared to go above and above for them. Indeed, we did try. Thank God, during my first year, I assisted and sponsored a few hall weeks. And I was working with the SRC, so I was willing.We made a lot of attempts.
"I participated in the celebration of Evandi Hall Week." It went really well when I was able to bring Mr. Drew and company. I was going to participate in Hall Week at Commonwealth. I had so many ideas, but we were unable to carry them out as the days went by because of the commotion," he continued.
