Despite the fact that he thinks interest in theater has increased in Ghana, he feels that most of the productions lack quality sets.
"As far as our sets are concerned, we are not done yet. We still need to create quality sets for our shows. It still requires us to bring authentic props to the set and have well-made costumes. We should be able to bring actual props into the set if the stage is available. For realism, we bring a ton of stuff to the set, including bikes, vehicles, horses, and other animals. On set, we need a lot of reality," he said.
He chatted with Joy FM at the press conference for Latif Abubakar's newest play, "The Licence."
Omar Sherrif, who plays a prominent role in Latif's latest production, expressed his excitement at the task of performing in the play, which was originally penned by Italian novelist Luigi Pirandello.
It looks at absurdity, bureaucracy, and the fight of a person against repressive systems.
